Guest Post: Tucker Wildlife Sanctuary

I met up with Matt and Barrett for lunch, then we drove out to Tucker Wildlife Sanctuary in Modjeska Canyon. Today was hotter than I anticipated, and there were far more annoying insects than I had planned on.  Coming mid-day may not have been the best idea because there were few birds out. I suspect that the near 90 degree heat had them looking for shade.  Still, Tucker Wildlife Sanctuary is pretty cool. The small park is operated by Cal State Fullerton. There is a tiny interpretive center that holds some cool displays, including live snakes  and a tarantula.

Here are some photos from our brief adventure.
